We spent a long time thinking about the letter X and what it could mean for INFORM. To be honest, however, we couldn’t come up with a fitting term that starts with X. Thankfully, December comes around every year. So: Xmas!

Just take Santa Claus, for example. He’s male and therefore (unfortunately) has only one X chromosome, which means he needs support to organize the processes behind his gift deliveries. Since he isn’t married, we take on that job. Yes, you read that right: Santa Claus has been an INFORM customer for a long time

Using our AI-based software, he plans the ideal route so he can reach all Christmas-celebrating households around the world in the shortest possible time with his sleigh. Once the route is set, he uses our software to calculate the optimal loading of his sleigh. After all, he doesn’t want to spend minutes searching for a package like a regular delivery driver. Instead, at every stop, he wants to grab the right gift in one smooth move, which surely includes plenty of Xboxes (wow, another X word).

Since he can’t afford any delays on his journey, the reindeer pulling his sleigh are equipped with sensors. These continuously measure the condition of each individual reindeer. Based on this data, our AI calculates the ideal feeding times, ensuring Santa can always rely on peak performance from his reindeer.

In addition, he wants to eliminate any X factor, meaning any kind of unforeseen event. That’s why our system analyzes data from previous tours to calculate the size of all the chimneys at the houses on his route and compares them with his current body measurements. This way, he knows in advance which houses he can access through the chimney and where he will need to choose an alternative entry.
