U IS FOR USABILITY
Explore why we keep it simple!
Our goal has always been to simplify complex work.
“If we want users to like our software, we should design it to behave like a likeable person.”
This guiding principle from software pioneer Alan Cooper is one we strongly believe in.
Let us look back for a moment. In the past, planning complex processes was often a real challenge. We still remember the days when Excel spreadsheets were maintained all the way to column ZZZ and printed on A0 posters. In some companies, huge pin boards hung on the wall, so everyone knew what needed to be done. It worked somehow, but it was often error prone, time consuming, and far from transparent.
Our goal then and now has always been to make this work noticeably easier. This is not only about our software mastering the mathematical complexity of operational processes. What truly matters is that it is easy for our customers to use. The immense computing power needed to optimize processes always remains in the background.
We have transferred complex manual tasks, from maintaining lists to countless phone calls, into a user interface that creates transparency. With just a few clicks, users receive clear recommendations for action and intuitive dashboards.
Of course, our software is a tool for professionals. It delivers well-founded recommendations, but the final assessment remains with experienced planners and dispatchers. They decide, based on their expertise, which recommendation to follow. The software acts as an assistant that supports them and highlights potential issues at an early stage.
And where is the journey heading? Toward an even more intuitive future. In the age of AI, we are working on enhancing usability with chatbots and agents. The idea is that users will be able to interact with the software almost as naturally as with a colleague. This lowers barriers and makes working with complex data even easier.
This is not only about voice control, but about real support. AI agents will recognize process states, prepare actions, and learn from feedback. While the technology under the hood is becoming more complex, the interface is becoming more human. One thing, however, remains certain:

The human carries responsibility. AI supports, but it does not make decisions over the user’s head.

U IS ALSO FOR
University
INFORM has a longstanding cooperation with various universities, including offering internships and support for bachelor and master theses. Additionally, we are a founding member of digitalHUB Aachen, which supports the digitalization of the economy and public sector in the Aachen region, where RWTH Aachen is located. This shows our commitment to supporting regional development and collaboration with academic institutions.

U IS ALSO FOR USP
We make every decision the best decision in the world.
- By making companies capable of acting, even under extreme complexity and time pressure.
- By transforming complex data into clear, actionable decisions – fast, reliable, and in real time.
- By applying what truly works in real-world processes, not by chasing technology trends.
We do so with a clear principle: AI should support people, not replace them. AI should explain, enable, and build trust. Ultimately, the best decision is not just the most efficient one; it's the one you can rely on.
